This piece is apart of the 'In The Name of LORD' series. The series focuses on the Black church which in the past became the one place Black communities could organise, strategise and protect one another. It served as a school when education was denied, a meeting hall when public spaces were unsafe, a financial safety net when banks refused to lend and a political engine when voices were silenced....This was the old church.
